Communication Center
The operations center is staffed 24 hours a day to receive and dispatch calls for services. The dispatch center receives approximately 20,000 calls for service per year.
Gaming Unit
The Bell Gardens Police Department has a Gaming Unit that handles all aspects of the Bicycle Casino from fingerprinting of prospective employees to investigations of crimes that have occurred at the casino.

Parking Enforcement Unit
The Parking Enforcement Unit consists of two community service officers. They are responsible for enforcing all parking regulations and ordinances throughout the city. They also assist with traffic control and special events.

Patrol
Patrol is part of the Field Services Division and is responsible for manning the streets in marked police vehicles. Patrol officers are dispatched to calls for service where they investigate crimes and complete written reports. Approximately 8,000 reports are taken every year.
Records Unit
The Records Bureau is staffed by four full time Records Clerks. They are responsible for customer services at the lobby counter and for processing and filing all crime and arrest reports that are generated throughout the Department.

Traffic Unit
The Bell Gardens Police Department has two motor units to enforce traffic laws throughout the city. Traffic Officers also handle the investigation of major traffic accidents and assist with traffic control. |
