Statement Regarding Confirmed COVID-19 Cases in Bell Gardens

The County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health announced today (Wednesday, March 25, 2020) three (3) confirmed novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the City of Bell Gardens.  No further information on the identity of the residents has been released by the Public Health authorities. The Bell Gardens City Council and staff are monitoring the situation very closely and will provide any pertinent updates at www.bellgardens.org.

Please help us reduce the number of people with serious illness by doing your part.  Take all measures our local, state and federal partners recommend to keep you and your family healthy.   Do not assume one area is safer than another. Cases are occurring across LA County. Stay home & practice social distancing if you must go out.

These are four ways you can help prevent the spread of COVID-19:

  • Wash hands with soap and water
  • Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Stay away from work, school or others if you get sick
