City of Bell Gardens Continues to Pursue Existing Legal Action Regarding the Quality Inn Facility

The City filed a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) last week to prevent new patients from continuing to be accepted into the Quality Inn facility operated by the County.  Yesterday, the TRO was denied by the Superior Court, allowing the facility to continue to operate.  In addition, the City’s recently adopted moratorium on new shelter facilities was stopped by the Superior Court as well.  Despite these rulings, the City continues to pursue existing legal action against the Quality Inn facility in an effort to protect the health and safety of the residents.
