In collaboration with the Gateway Cities Council of Governments and Moore Iacofano Goltsman (MIG), The City of Bell Gardens is initiating a focused update to its Zoning Code to better support higher-density, mixed-use, and affordable housing development. In addition, the scope of work will include a focused update to the City’s Land Use Element of the General Plan evaluating existing land use designations, policies, and maps, and proposes targeted amendments to existing goals, policies, and programs found in the General Plan Land Use Element.

Community engagement efforts will take place at various community events scheduled throughout the month of March. A detailed schedule of planned outreach activities will be provided in the coming days.
